Discovering Antioch Park
For centuries, the area that is now Antioch Park was part of the communally held ancestral hunting territory of the Kanza and Osage Tribes. Antioch Park was purchased in 1956 and opened in 1958, the park was rededicated in 2005 following infrastructure improvements, facility upgrades, and lake and wetland enhancements.

There is always something to do at Antioch Park! you can start your day with a peaceful and refreshing walk along the scenic trails, followed by a picnic near the lake. There are several picnic tables scattered throughout the park in shady areas to make the experience more enjoyable. For families, the park is a hit for kids of all ages. There are also several open spaces for games, making it a wonderful choice for a family day out!
I recommend making the most of your visit, to consider going in the early morning or later afternoon to enjoy cooler temperatures and fewer crowds. parking is offered at several spots at both entrances, as well as the park is wheelchair accessible to ensure everyone can enjoy the beauty of Antioch Park.
Antioch Park also hosts the Turkey Creek Festival every year. There are several things to do as well as look at while the festival happens. It is open to everyone. there are food trucks, a petting zoo, free kids' activities, live music, and arts and crafts.
Antioch Park is more than just a park, it's a place where the community can combine nature and joy. I encourage you to visit and experience the charm yourself! Whether you're a local or just passing through, this park is worth the trip.
