Discovering Antioch Acres Park

Antioch Acres Park is a smaller park ranging only 10.8 acres located in Overland Park, Kansas. Growing up, I attended this park quite a lot because it was not far from where I resided. This park offers one shelter, tennis courts, a playground, and a walking trail that loops around the park. This park is great for younger kids' birthday parties as well as family get-togethers.

This park underwent some remodeling over the past few years and did receive a new tennis court available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Antioch Acres Park is very family-friendly, as well as a good neighborhood park. This park is located a few blocks down from East Antioch Elementary School, and kids love to come down and play for a bit and hang out with their friends before they go home. East Antioch also has the 6th graders go down to the park for their last day of elementary school and celebrate and play at the park.

For those who like to walk around the neighborhood, Antioch Acres is a good park to take a detour to get a few extra steps in and just view your surroundings. I would recommend Antioch Acres for a get-together or a little kid party, but no other parties. This park is a good place for a quick walkthrough.

Antioch Acres does provide a good spot to hold little activities such as neighborhood walking or tennis or 6th graders celebrating, other than that, it is quite underwhelming and isn't very bright and won't catch the attention of the eye as well as will not entertain someone for long. I would not say this is a must-go visit to the park unless you live in the neighborhood and want something new to visit. It doesn't have much to offer for everyone, and it really only pertains to people who want to play tennis or are just walking.
