Discovering Pierson Park

Pierson Park is located in Kansas City, Kansas, and is 125 acres big. Pierson Park is pretty underwhelming for how big the park is. There is a lake in the middle of the park that does allow fishing. there is a road/walkway that loops around the park, but there is no designated spot to walk, so there is a hazard of getting hit. there were a lot of cars just speeding by without paying attention to what was around them, going way above the speed limit.

There are three shelters as well as playgrounds located around different locations in the park. The playgrounds are very basic and don't offer any new and improved playground sets that will really interest kids. The playgrounds are a simple slide and pole and, if you're lucky, a swing set.

There is a skate park that is usually vacated and connected to a splash pad that is open during the summer.  The splash pad is free to the public. Pierson Park is also connected to a new fire station that was recently built.

Pierson Park does not offer a lot of different greenery, there are a lot of just dull trees that look unkept. Pierson Park is a hazard and does not offer a lot to the public. This park does offer a good spot to hang out with friends, but there are not a lot of activities to choose from. Overall, this park was underwhelming and not worth the visit. If you do go and visit Pierson Park, make sure you look out for speeding cars that are racing around the park, not looking for anyone, and could potentially hit you. If you are looking for a spot to hang out before a movie or somewhere to sit in your car while you eat, this could be the spot for you to hang out for a bit.
