Discovering Thompson Park

  https://www.opkansas.org/park/thompson-park/ Thompson Park is a 4.8-acre park in Overland Park, Kansas. It has a playground, splash pad, picnic tables, shelters, and a historic site. Not only is Thompson Park located in Overland Park but it is also located in the heart of downtown Overland Park. The park was renovated in 2019 and 2020 due to community reviews, and the improvements included two shelters, new restrooms, a performance stage, seating areas, working space outdoors with wifi, and an updated playground. https://www.opkansas.org/park/thompson-park/ The historical site at Thompson Park is the Strang Carriage House. The location, built in the early 1900s, was used to store carriages and automobiles for Overland Park founder William Strang.  This park is small but does offer quite a bit for those of all ages.
